Home of the Talyllyn Railway, the world's First Preserved Railway, Tywyn provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy and experience all the charm of by-gone days of Steam. A much loved jewel, this Narrow Gauge Railway, will not only take you on a journey through time, but also, through some of the most glorious scenery Wales has to offer.
On August 16th this year, Tywyn will host one of the year's premier running events in the annual running of Race The Train.
And...let's not forget Cadair Idris, at 893m (2,930ft) 'Cader' offers spectacular views of Mid Wales and the Coast, as well as a challenge to the keen walker!

A fun day for both Adults and kids. The kids will love our Crazy Golf course, whilst Mum, Dad and older kids can take the challenge of our 18 hole putting course. We boast an excellent bowling green for those that fancy a bit of sedate competition.

Thought to date from around 1221, this Castle occupies a commanding position in the Dysynni valley.
The Fairbourne Railway has been running from Fairbourne village to the mouth of the Mawddach Estuary, connecting with the ferry to Barmouth for over 100 years. It started as a two foot gauge horse-drawn tramway which was then converted to a 15 inch gauge railway in 1916. The line in 1984 was completely re built to a 12.25 inch gauge.
Tywyn and District Pool League takes place from September to April each year. The 2016-17 season is about to start, and we have 10 teams participating this year.
